Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) This outstanding folk rock album, which I found in Manoel Macía's wishlist, sounds so authentically retro, that I wasn't sure if it's in fact a recording from the 70's. But no, this Spanish band really is a contemporary one. The music is basically quiet and meditative, with occasional uptempo outbursts, featuring a vibraphone as one of its lead instruments. Think of Jim McCarthy's "Illusion" with traces of "Jethro Tull" and "Gentle Giant". There's a one-hour live video on YouTube, showing the band performing "Prometeia" with narration in Spanish, as can be heard on the last four bonus tracks of this album: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs2e2uTJHZE Note that drummer Cristian Suárez is wearing a "Magma" T-shirt... :-) Favorite track: Expiatio II.

Praeludium 02:03
To the remote limits of the earth have we come, to the inaccessible wasteland of Scythia. You, Hephaestus, will perform the mandates of the Father and bind evil Prometheus to a high rock, with unbreakable links of chains, since he snatched in the sky your flower of flame and all the arts, then gave them to men. He stole and gave the fire away, the wrath of god will fall and make its way. For this crime, it is fair to pay a penalty, in order to learn to respect Zeus, the highest deity, and not to deify man..

Seasons change and my life pass so fast thru this window. Oh! my life is so frail like sand that runs thru hands of men. This is the place of the promised land Told in the stories of kings and men This is where I could find the light Looking the way, The way thru the tears of my heart. Seasons change And my eyes watch the time like the ocean Where our lifes are so small Like waves that never reach the shore. This is not my destiny, at last I was expecting to see thru the wall Reason please guide My people die. Blood is the way the way thru the tears of my heart.

Runaway 05:35
The fragrance of the north fields, invades my being. The flavor of red dried fruits runs down on me. If Lucifer refuses to come with me I´ll take the quickest path to get out of here. Sixty days as a runaway Sixty days far away. I cannot find the answer inside me So i´ll try to see the light beyond the sea And everything I win in the house of fear It let´s me find the path to get out here Sixty days as a runaway Sixty days far away. How can you feel the same. When something is so far from here Look at me, I´m so ill And there´s nothing that I can see........ Please help me and tell me how.... to choose the better way out Here comes the pain again can you hear the footsteps around my cage? You´re wrong if you think that it's the end we had always dreamt Runaway Sixty days as a runaway Sixty days as a runaway Runaway The bright light of the sunrise Is close to me. Now I can smell the fragrance. Inside me And in the end of the twilight You'll be with me And nothing that could scare

Remember me when the sunrise enlightens your face. and the innkeeper asks for me. Hang my daughter´s clothes in the room where I was born. Winter will be long In days when the wind blows, and the rain feels cold. keep the burning torch only this light lets you see the road. In days when the wind blows, and the rain feels cold. keep the light on, only its brightness lets you feel hot. Winter will be long

Ethon 05:15
Time It´s time to die I've tried everything but nothing seems to be done. Now I´m so lonely Come into my eyes and take away my heart. The skies are falling Meaby It´s time To escape there´s no time to explain the truth. Look the bird Is coming She´s the girl who everybody hates We must help the hero He taught us how to find the way We mustn't waste a single second Fight with firm and decisive step It´ll be the hardest battle Maybe tomorrow it won´t be the same

Interludium 02:59
"Damned for all time, the wingéd dog of Zeus, the blood-spattered eagle, Cyclone's scion, will track in your flesh its meals. And, day after day, it will come to your blackened liver in order to graze upon it ferociously. Do not hope to see the end of your torture!, not until a god becomes willing to offer themselves to the task: to descend to Hell or to risk themselves to banishment in the sunless abyss of Tartarus." "And this immense stone block shakes endlessly; and now the harsh rumble of the powerful resounding thunder; and even now the winds clash one against the other, quaking the Ether and Earth; and with a loud low dull continuous noise, Zeus wishes without doubt to intimidate me."
7.
Ascent 03:53
Looking at the mountain, awaiting my death. Feeling so guilty about something I did No! there´s no light at the end of the end
8.
Matribus 04:27
SEM -PER - BE - LA - CUE - MA - TRI - BUS - DE - TES - TA - TA LI - BEN - TER - HO - MI - NES - ID - CUOD - VO - LUNT - CRE - DUNT Brave and fast runs the rabbit thru the grass. Sniffing around waiting for the perfect time. I see him. Here he comes again Here I am always terrified. Looking for a clue that tells me why The man who caused the pain will soon fall down in a desert land beyond the sun This is where our freedom will reach There's no way to modify my will Today we will reach glory and peace Now it´s time to be a happy kid

Looking around the dark land. Feeling how my soul is crying My heart is trembling at the sadness of the good people dying I´m crying I didn´t mean to hurt them Now I wonder why My heart is trembling at the sadness ,crying for this land

Epilogus 01:46
And there is no unwary mortal able to escape the dominion and will of Zeus. Then Prometheus, the son of a Titan, Man’s benefactor, was not even able to free himself of Zeus’ terrible anger, rather the powerful father by force with huge chains banished that one to oblivion there in the confines of distant Scythia. However, with winged words Prometheus replied: “Nothing will make me die, since the seed of my race have I given to men in a wild fennel-stalk, to employ science and reason against your tyrannical designs. Oh Zeus, so proud, that the thunderclap flew!
